http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/201/langref/mx/effects/WipeLeft.html xFrom/to and yFrom/to are properties of Wipe. I've never tried this with Wipe before myself, only Resize. What are you trying to do actually? Resize actually appears like a Wipe and resizes the component. Wipe doesn't resize the component.
