http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/201/langref/mx/effects/WipeLeft.html xFrom/to and yFrom/to are properties of Wipe. I've never tried this with Wipe before myself, only Resize. What are you trying to do actually? Resize actually appears like a Wipe and resizes the component. Wipe doesn't resize the component.
Yes, I got these properties from the documentation, but it did not provide a clear description or example of actually how to use them. What kind of numbers would one put in there? I'm particularly confused on how to use numbers that don't exist until runtime such as the width of the element being wiped. This is just for a bit of an extra fluff. The full wipe looks fine, but it could look even better if it did not wipe completely to and from the edge. I would like it to wipe to and from a point say 200 pixels from the left edge.
