Some things never change. After half an hour on the phone with Adobe
technical support regarding a known crash in Flex Builder 3

I was told that to get any support, I'd need to buy a support plan. I
love that I have to pay a vendor to have them fix a bug in their
software.

If anyone has any idea on this crash and knows any workarounds (as
we're all getting the good old "we can't reproduce the error" spiel)
please post - a number of people have this issue and you'd be a hero.
