Andy, try to set the default destination to 'ColdFusion' and apply the
url at runtime as described in Mike Nimer's blog
http://blog.mikenimer.com/index.cfm/2007/1/10/Bye-bye-services
You should be able to invoke any remote method to any exposed cfc
without the crossdomain.xml in their webroot.
Of course the endpoint must be the full path while in a Flex app you can
use {server.name} and {server.port} tokens.
