My Alieware is fighting FlexBuilder too, man... she just uses a TON of RAM, man. Mainly, it's Design View. FlexBuilder 1.5 allows you turn this off and it significantly improves speed + resource usage.
On the flip side, her majesty got me more RAM for my birthday, but I know your sick of buying new hardware... so uh...
