Hi Jeff This surely is a useful piece of code but don't you feel that this should have been a facility of the original date component.
The other issue that Will raised about moving back and forth by a year is still absent. Just think of a user trying to enter the date of birth of a customer who has come to get his insurance policy for driving license, lets put the person happens to be in his mid 50s.
