The only case where it seems to happen is when you have covers and one page! This is anyway a seldom situation because when you have covers you should have at least 2 pages (the internal sides of the covers). I think you just have to account for this case and you should be able to use this wonderful control. Now if you want to know why this is happening, then we have to do some debugging!
