I haven't used BlazeDS on anything other than some of my small pet projects. However, I'm pretty sure that BlazeDS (Data Service) doesn't have an RTMP end-point. Meaning you can't make a NetConnection and NetStream call to it, which also means you can't use attachMicrophone to send your audio to the server.
In my opinion there are only three options when it comes to Flash Media (camera & microphone) solutions: - Adobe Flash Media Server ( http://www.adobe.com/products/flashmediaserver/) was Flash Communication Server - Wowza Media Server (http://wowzamedia.com) - Red5 ( http://osflash.org/red5) Cheers, Nate On Thu, Jan 15, 2009 at 10:35 AM, Sceneshift <[email protected]> wrote: > > Thanks for the replace Nate, I didn't consider Wowza but I'll certainly > check > it out. > > Just wondering if you had any thoughts on BlazeDS? > > Nate Beck wrote: > > > > Red5 is a great open source project, and a great solution for your needs. > > However, if you want support on your project, I've found Red5 to be a > > bit... lacking. > > If you have the funds... my recommendation would be to use Wowza Media > > Server (http://www.wowzamedia.com/).
