UIComponents cannot be parented by Sprite without a lot of work.  As soon as 
you put in a UIComponent, the SWF size will jump so there is almost no point to 
trying to do other stuff with just Sprites

I am working with library that is all AS3 and is Sprite based to keep
the overhead down. I would like to put more expressive items (flex
components) in the application without hand coding them all.
