I'm also ending up with my own MVC thing... but as a result of mis-interpreting and incorrectly implementing Cairngorm rather than consciously deciding to do so :)

ARP is what I started out with in AS2 (Flash) and Cairngorm is what most people moved over to when AS3 and/or Flex 2 came out.
