What problem are you trying to solve? In order to save state you're going to need some kind of persistent scope. If Shared Object can't be used, something else needs to be a repository for your state information.

Hi all, Is there a way to keep an actionscript object in Flash Player memory even when the swf that set up this object is unloaded. And no, SharedObject is not an option :) I know is nearly impossible but I also know that I don't know everything :D BenoƮt Milgram / Flapflap http://www.kilooctet.net I'm also a music mashup / bootlegs producer : http://www.djgaston.net
