I give up. There is no easy way to do this. Believing that there is a way to isolate ALL application state in a centralized model is naive. There is a lot of state that actually lives in the components, and there is a lot of processing that is tightly coupled to low level user gestures, bypassing the model. mmh, if you think about it, every component itself is an application... I have seen some trivial data sharing, like SAP's PoCs and others, but nothing as complicated ( and useful! ) as remote control. I really hope you consider it for a future release of the fp. After all, it already has a builtin bitmap layer and a video encoder. One more question: - Is there a way to control user gestures on a given application programatically? That is, forget about the real mouse and keyb and replace them with scripted actions? I believe not, but perhaps someone has an enlightenment on this one.
