Are you setting the data right away or formatting it before you apply
it to the tree?  You will likely need to reformat the dp before
binding it - you could create a little utility class that takes care
of this - and bind the tree to a bindable array prop of that
formatting class as opposed to binding it directly. I dunno, just an idea?
