[flexcoders] Flex - Mac - Database (Semi OT)

All,   I’m currently looking at ways in which we could create a standalone app using flex and a database, for Mac OSX and PC.   Basically we’re looking at creating a cd/dvd with a mac/pc installer which will provide a client with a desktop app and database. The flex-based desktop app would be wrapped using something like ‘Zinc’ to provide the flash player etc.   The issue I’m having is working out how I’m going to do the database on a mac. On a PC we could simply bundle a database and perhaps an ASP tier which could do the interaction.   However I’m at a total loss with a mac, I don’t even use the things. Has anyone done anything similar?   My initial research would suggest a flex app, a java layer and perhaps a database such as SQLite.
