Is there a best practice for making something similar to a creationComplete method on a non UI component that extends EventDispatcher?
I am not sure this is what I need, but let me explain my situation: <!-- In the MXML --> <MyComponent someValue="10" > The problem is that I can't get to the "someValue" (10 in this case) i have set in the MXML before the component has been instantiated or something.
