Is this going to hold true as processors continue to get faster or will Adobe change their licensing model?

 

 

For instance, IBM just made a chip that will run at 350GHz at room temperature.

 

 

It seems like that might be able to handle more then 100 connections.

A departmental server often needs a server for testing and perhaps one other server for failover.  We want you to be able to support this configuration so we have an option of $6k/cpu but no matter how many CPUs you have you cannot have more than 100 concurrent users.

 

For enterprise you pay per CPU and your configuration can be whatever you please with as many users as you can handle.

So you think you *can* cluster the 6k version of the product but they
only allow you 100 users?

Does that mean that for 20k the enterprise version gives you unlimited
users over an unlimited number of CPU's? I bet this isnt so. So I am
still confused as to what the difference between the 6k and the free
product is.
