Hi Adobe Engineers, This bug happens when the tree control is over 600 pixels in height. Basically when the vertical scrollbar is moved up and down, the tree's nodes goes haywire. I've seen this bug in the beta although in the beta, it was much worse. Currently, the problem is much more pronounced with a custom ItemRenderer. Without the a custom ItemRenderer, one can see strange behaviours with branch nodes opening and closing while the scrollbar is moved up and down.
