Software Engineer Duties and Responsibilities: · Manages day-to-day activities of small development team in support of corporate strategy. · Designs, builds, and tests software components. · Works closely with Product Management and other developers to clarify requirements, identify problems, suggest changes, and determine extent of programming and coding required. · Recommends the criteria against which all products are evaluated, to link their value to the corporate business strategy. · Analyzes product ideas and recommends product priorities to Engineering management. · Provides estimates for coding effort on projects as well as prepares schedules for these projects. · Maintains project schedule and provides updates regarding progress toward milestones. · Analyzes the impact of activities on the overall project portfolio and works with engineers and product managers to identify alternative strategies (resources, project sequencing etc.) for accomplishing desired goals.
