Did you try to look at the HTTP requests made by Flash Player. Try using
charles or fiddler to look at if request to load
crossdomain.xml is being made or not?

I am wondering, what could be the issue?

  I have a strange behavior of a policy file.
On two different computers I have the same url open (IE6) and the
very same Flex content is loaded in both of them:

The first one loads the specified crossdomain.xml normally, and
consumes the web service from the remote location.

The other one doesn't load the crossdomain.xml at all (!?!).

The policy file is in the arbitrary location of data server that's
hosting the web service and is loaded into Flex using
Security.loadPolicyFile(url:String).

The content of the policy is:

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy
SYSTEM "http://www.macromedia.com/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd";>
<cross-domain-policy>
<allow-access-from domain="*" secure="false" />
</cross-domain-policy>

... but I gues it doesn't metter since it isn't loaded at all in my
case.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
