Alex, Thanks for the response. I had thought about that and had commented out the image, and got the same result.
Should I subclass ListItemRenderer instead of HBox? Is there something in the measure() or invalidation methods that I'm not doing? Also, I notice that when I scroll the list, items that are below the scroll are showing scrollbars when they scroll into view (I hope that makes sense...); is there an invalidation method I can call on the list itself that would prevent this?
