[flexcoders] max rows to return to a datagrid

I am using a Coldfusion CFC to return a query object that is bound to a 
datagrid.

Is there any rule of thumb as to how much data you should send to the datagrid?

I just tried 3000 rows of data and it took about a second for the datagrid to 
display it.
