I have been building on my cairngorm experience and have come up to a snag.
I understand the whole idea about using the controller to trap and respond to events, however, how do I deal with custom view components that need to respond to an event. For example, I have a custom component that contains an advanced data grid. I am filling the modelLocator with data from the server and using this as the data provider for the advanced data grid. The problem I have is when the user selects a different date, I generate a cairngorm event to load new data from the server. This information is dealt with in the controller, however, I am not able to send the event to the custom component to refresh the advance data grid and display the data. Would someone help me to understand how I can use the events, or generate a new custom event to trigger some activity within a custom view component Thanks for the help Don
