No, there are as I understand it two modes of integration (i) using a flex / flash widget which can communicate with the basic Acrobat Javascript API via External Interface (ii)using the new ACROBAT api which provides a series of interfaces specifically for building PDF Portfolios neither of them directly address your issues BUT it is possible to use EXternal Interface to generate PDFs on the fly which would allow for some imporovements to your point2 matt
