Unfortunately, there is no introspection.  You can provide your own by embedding an entire SWF that has some AS code in it, but that’s a bunch of work. You are welcome to file an request for this in our bug database.  I’ve heard this request before.

What can we do with embeded SWF in AS3 context:
- Is it possible to get symbols name ?
- Is it possible to manipulate SWF graphics (i.e. change a line
color, a point position, etc...) ?
- If it is impossible, maybe next versions of Flash authoring
tool/Flex will provide additional SWF manipulation features?
