Can you post the code (if it is a small example)?

So you can create one in MXML and it will style and then if you hit a
button you can stick one generated in AS right next to it and it won't
style?

Ah sorry about that. The addchild is in there, it shows in the display
it just doesn't style it.

What doesn't work? It doesn't show up or it doesn't style? A common
error is to forget to call addChild() to add the component to the
displaylist and then it won't show up

Subject: [flexcomponents] Component Styling issue

Hi all,

I have an issue trying to style a component.

I have a custom component called ColoredRowGrid

Now on a regular mxml if I add the component it styles just fine using a
css file with style:

ColoredRowGrid {

                paddingLeft: 0;

}

The problem is when I try to instanciate this component in AS like so:

var coloredGrid:ColoredRowGrid = new ColoredRowGrid();

it works for everything else such as panels and whatnot, even DataGrid
works but this one doesn't.

Any help would be greatly appreciated J

Thanks,

Joseph Abenhaim.
