Gordon will probably answer next time he checks email. He's the expert
on this component.

Subject: [flexcomponents] Re: Flex HTML component for AIR

thanks for your interest, J.

it's not your HTMLComponent.swc (for Flex) I'm having trouble with,
it's the "mx.controls.html" AIR/Flex component that I can't get to
work as well as yours.

http://livedocs.adobe.com/labs/flex/3/langref/mx/controls/HTML.html
<http://livedocs.adobe.com/labs/flex/3/langref/mx/controls/HTML.html>

as for a test case, just point this AIR component to a HTML page with
internal links/named anchors and do some clicking around. On my Mac,
once I navigate somewhere else on the (same) document, a touch of the
scroll bars sends it hurtling back to my start point.

Why post here on Flexcomponents?
- hopefully some response (it's a graveyard over on apollocoders)
- trying to get a better understanding of this AIR/Flex control on
how the internal navigation of the HTML doc can/should change the
scroll position of the control itself (yes, "ScrollV" is a number...
then what?)

cheers
b
