Hi Tim,

No I am not, I would with some Linears however the low current on the PTT
circuit is one of Tokyo High Powers claim to fame in the specs dept. This
phenomina is NOT exhibited on Icom IC7000, IC756 III, or IC7600 (the only ones
used on it to date apart from Flex5000/3000) so I was kind of hoping a firmware
refinement may be the go for a polished product, certainly the Audio Thump was,
It "appears" as if it is sending the relay to ground at a fast pulsing while
the Flex circuit power dies away. I would suggest that a sensetive buffer may
do the same. It's Interesting but something you don't like to see happening if
you forget to turn of the linear 1st.

Are you using a buffering circuit between the amp and the FLEX-5000?

Subject: [FlexEdge] PTT to Ground out Firmware Bug/Refinement ?

Hi Guys,

This seems a minor annoyance when powering off the Flex5000 in that the PTT to
ground out makes the linear relay chatter at high speed for 1~1.5 seconds
(Tokyo High Power HL-1.5KFX). The simple work around is to turn the linear off
first. Could this be a firmware refinement in a similar way of improvement to
the audio "ka-thump" now appears fixed in the latest firmware ? (or at least it
appears that way)
