Hopefully one of our resident geniuses will develope a better VAC.
But some tips I've learned
(at least they work for me)
In VAC, Cable Range works real well with Windows WDM-KS
Make sure the Sample Rate (the window in the Sample Rate pane on the
Console)
is the same as the SR in the VAC Setup (Control Panel)
Cable Range seems to work better for me and is recommended when using WDM-KS
You may want to setup 2 extra virtual cables, and have those set to
different parameters.
That way you can swith between them (via the soundcard selection module)of
your software.
I did that as a way of testing for best perfomance and I've left those two
other cables installed.
I remember even are 'IN' odd numbers are 'OUT'.

I have registered VAC and done some further testing. Using any of the
sound
providers included with PowerSDR (MME, DirectSound, etc), no output
to the
virtual port. Resetting the database fixes it. Loading the old database
back
up and setting it to MME lets it continue working for a time. Eventually
it
stops working and I have to reset the database again; after doing that,
though, it starts working again.
