It seems that doing a database reset is a good thing to do when trying the new alpha code, and frequently recommended as a first step in troubleshooting.
I haven't been able to find the answer to my question so here it is: If I do a database reset, and then restore database info, would that not bring back erroneous information? Or are there some data sets that are OK to restore, while others should not? The main pain in the neck part for me is restoring all of my transmit profiles and EQ settings. Maybe the safest thing is to just write all those settings down and edit them manually after doing the reset? Is a step-by-step set of instructions either available in the KB, or could one be created?
