The past two years have shown the reflector posts, Dayton announcements and delivery dates on the website to be utterly meaningless (some might say deliberately misleading marketing hype).... yada, yada, yada...
I've only been a Flex owner for about a month. I purchased the radio from someone who decided a new motorcycle was more important than the radio. The radio had a very minor problem that Flex went out of their way to correct and get the radio back to me ASAP. I've been licensed since 1971 and have owned at least one radio from of all the major bands. By far FRS has provided the best / fastest support. Regarding software and releasing it, how many people would cry and moan if the new version was released with bugs that prevented you from getting on the air? Basically, you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't. The present version is working, so what's the big rush? Why do we always have to upgrade the moment something new comes out? FRS, ignore it and keep up the good work!
