I am running PSDR 2.0.8/XP/3.3.2.8028. Occasionally after I transmit the
receiver noise level sensitivity drops to -150 on the pan adapter with the
received signal going down with it. Normally at my station the noise level
sensitivity is in the -115/-120 range. I have noticed that when this
happens if I turn the preamp off the signal noise level rises to -135. When
the unit is operating properly turning the preamp on and off has no effect
on the noise level. I have done the following to try and fix the problem:
started/stopped PSDR with no change in sensitivity (stays at -150), shutdown
PSDR, the computer and the radio itself and restarted no effect, along the
way I have reset the data base a number of times. When this problem occurs
transmit is not affected. Last night I was operating on 40M SSB and this
happened I could not recover the receive sensitivity to where the rig was
operable. This morning I re-started everything and operation is normal. I
then reset the data base and I am now waiting to see what happens. Any
ideas as to what's going on? Thanks.
