Hello Flexworld :) I updated to PSDR 2.0.16 a few days ago. No promblems while install and PSDR really works great. The comments on the reflector going the same way. Thanks to all at Flex-Radio!
But.. My Flex 5000A produces heavy noise while switching from TX to RX. It is not a new problem, I wailed about it long time ago on this list. Specially in CW with tight filters and weak signals, when i pull up the volume to hear a little better, this switching sound kills ears! Working 36hr in the upcoming CQWW CW seems to be absolute impossible for me. So i tried again to tune my audio settings in context to my DSP buffer settings. Watching the noise in my scope/panascope view. A picture of noise with 96/2048 and 2048/2048 CWbuffer: http://d.pr/dRrs My results. Audio 192/2048 works better than 96 or 48. Reducing the audio buffer size makes no difference. While changing the audio settings i switched the DSP CW settings in a small test series. So i found DSP CW RX buffer 2048 and TX 1024 works best for me. 80% TX>RX with no noise, the other 20% with 50% lower noise. Every other combination is absolutely not useful. It is not only a CW issue, same happens in SSB modes.. I hope that this behavior is further on the flex-radio todo list. I could not believe that all operators live with this clicks/thumps?!? Could this be a serious problem in my hardware?
