Did you import a database? The default setting for both all radios is that Mode B Strict is UNCHECKED.
If you did a DB import, the that could have set the feature ON for the FLEX-5000 -Tim From: Ed Wilson [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Saturday, February 19, 2011 2:44 PM To: [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected] Subject: [FlexRadio] 2.0.19 CW Keying Colleagues, I downloaded and installed the 2.0.19 update without incident last night on both my Flex-5000 and my Flex-3000. The CW keying (I use Vibroplex paddles) seemed fine on the 3K, but I seemed to be making a lot of sending errors on the 5K, which is my primary rig. A little digging around showed that the Keyer tab on the Flex 5K had "Mode B Strict" checked by default and the Flex 3K did not. I unchecked the "Mode B Strict" box and all was well with the 5K. I guess I will have to re-train myself if I want to operate in strict Mode B. Just thought I would pass this along in case anyone else has experienced similar issues.
