Hi Tim,
I hate to disagree but I did NOT import a data base and the CW mode B was
checked. I spotted this when I went through all the settings. It might be
a hardware specific condition but it also happened to me. Many thanks for
your great support and calm confident attitude, I would have ...... some of
the characters you have dealt with professionally.

  Did you import a database?

The default setting for both all radios is that Mode B Strict is
UNCHECKED.

If you did a DB import, the that could have set the feature ON for the
FLEX-5000

  Subject: [FlexRadio] 2.0.19 CW Keying

  Colleagues,

I downloaded and installed the 2.0.19 update without incident last night
on both
  my Flex-5000 and my Flex-3000.

The CW keying (I use Vibroplex paddles) seemed fine on the 3K, but I
seemed to
be making a lot of sending errors on the 5K, which is my primary rig. A
little
digging around showed that the Keyer tab on the Flex 5K had "Mode B
Strict"
checked by default and the Flex 3K did not. I unchecked the "Mode B
Strict" box
and all was well with the 5K. I guess I will have to re-train myself if I
want
to operate in strict Mode B.

Just thought I would pass this along in case anyone else has experienced
similar
  issues.

  Ed, K0KC
