Basically you have to preserve the FFT spectrum data in a 2D array with an axis for time as well as frequency. That way when you change waterfall span or change frequency, you preserve the waterfall data. Then the question is whether to scroll the waterfall and leave the frequency lubber line fixed or scroll the tuning lubber-line and keep the spectrum/waterfall display fixed (like an old-time slide-rule tuning dial). Perhaps you offer both. The key is that the waterfall data remains correct on the display even after a tuning event. -- Brian Lloyd, WB6RQN/J79BPL 3191 Western Dr. Cameron Park, CA 95682 [email protected] +1.767.617.1365 (Dominica) +1.931.492.6776 (USA) (+1.931.4.WB6RQN) _______________________________________________ Flexedge mailing list [email protected] http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexedge_flex-radio.biz This is the FlexRadio Systems e-mail Reflector called FlexEdge.
