Gerald,
My powered speakers' volume is already set at maximum, but with RC3 I
have to add gain in the equalizer in addition to setting PowerSDR's AF
gain to maximum.
Further, demodulated FM audio is nowhere near as loud as unsquelched
"band noise."
If this is going to be the new normal audio output level, I think the
rig's audio amplifier needs to be beefed up.

Alan,
FM actually has the appropriate level to provide headroom in the digital to
analog converter. We are in the process of refactoring the audio levels in
the other modes so that they all match FM. As you add the second receiver
and split, you can currently overload the DAC in other modes. This will all
change when we release v2.2 in the coming weeks. In the meantime, you will
need to adjust your audio when changing modes in 2.1.2 RC3.
Thanks,
Gerald

I just tried listening to our local 2M repeater with the 2.1RC3 software
and found that even with the audio cranked all the way up the volume level
was still too low. With RC1 the volume level is OK at a setting of 30.
