Steve and all.

I have to second Lloyd's request here for I2C data to the Flexwire port. I
also use Phil's excellent interface for selecting transverters, and the
overall capability now in PSDR is absolutely mind boggling. Unless ya'll can
come up with an even better game changer to accomplish this, replicating
what has been done in the past would not be a bad thing.

I am very much looking forward to getting into the 6700.

I am running one of K3TUF's: "Stand alone board that plugs into the FlexWire
port and provides 16 open collector outputs for driving relays or systems to
change antennas, bands and transverters." It works well for selecting
external VHF/UHF transverters.

I'd really like to see continued support for VHF/UHF transverter selection
in SmartSDR, as well as adding I2C data to the FlexWire port for HF band
selection.

Al,

We'd be happy to support Phil's board in SmartSDR. To do so requires a
little bit of code to send out the signals (this is the easy part). The
harder part is making sure that it works for more than just one person --
that the solution suits a broad audience. It would be great if someone in
the community that understood the needs would coordinate this part: getting
consensus on what we need to send out and if there is any kind of setup
required that would vary based on differing implementations. Phil has
ordered a 6700 so I suspect he would be interested in participating in the
discussion.
