In digiU mode, using the predefined filters, the rx and tx filter stays to the USB (right) side of the panadapter display. If you select the Var1 (default=Res) filter it is displayed on the LSB (left) side of the panadapter display. The width and shift seem to behave in a really screwy way. I can play with it by making it real narrow and can get it to shift to the USB side, but only by ~500 Hz. Most of the time the filter splits or is on the LSB side of the panadapter display.
The Var2 filter in digiU mode show some what of the same behavior. I would expect the var1 & var2 filters to occupy only the USB side of the carrier point in digiU mode and the LSB side of the carrier point in digiL mode. Am I correct in my assumption? -Tim --- Tim Ellison ( [EMAIL PROTECTED] ) Integrated Technical Services ( http://www.itsco.com ) -----Original Message----- From: ab7r [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Saturday, November 19, 2005 12:46 AM To: Tim Ellison Subject: RE: [Flexradio] VAC issues with Preview 7 Hi Tim. Do you mean you think the filters are correct? When in DigU, Both the rx and tx should be on the USB side of the display....Same with DIGL, but they are not. At least not here. Here is what I wrote: I think I have found a bug. If VAC is configured and you are using Auto enable and then engage DigiU. If you select the var1 or var2 filter, the filter is on the left side (LSB) of the carrier line in pan adapter display mode. The predefined filters work correctly. I have the popping or clicking noise using MIXW and the purchased version of VAC. I was able to reduce the popping (sometimes it is there, sometime not) on PSK31 by setting the audio processing setting in the soundcard setup screen to Message-based (standard) rather than Direct X and setting the VAC buffers to 512. All of the other buffers are 2048 using a Delta 44. CAT in MixW says I am in FSK mode. Setting VAC buffers to a value higher than 512 make things much worse. It works, I just had a bpsk31 QSO with YV5DSL. -Tim --- Tim Ellison ( [EMAIL PROTECTED] ) Integrated Technical Services ( http://www.itsco.com ) -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Tim Ellison Sent: Friday, November 18, 2005 10:26 PM To: flexRadio@flex-radio.biz Subject: [Flexradio] VAC issues with Preview 7 _______________________________________________ FlexRadio mailing list FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz
