  Hi Bob,

The way you explained it made total sense. My opposite to com 6 is com 16.
Leaving Power SDR set to com 6 I changed Win-EQF com port to 16 and everything
is working great. Thanks a lot.

    Smitty,

I think you probably have a wrong port selected for WIN-EQF. The virtual
ports are like null-modem cables, you hook the SDR1K to one port, the
third-party program to the matching other end (port). Take a close look a
the vCom Configurator, the ports pairs to use are directly opposite one
another on the Configurator, connected by a blue line and a "use" checkbox.
If 6 is opposite 7, set the SDR1K CAT control to port 6 and WIN-EQF to port
    7.

The TS-2000 emulation is compatible with other Kenwood types but has more
commands. You can try selecting different radio types on the CAT setup menu
to see which works the best. Do not use the SDR-1000 emulation with
anything other than HRD as it contains many special commands and can really
    slow things down.

There are several papers on the FlexRadio web site to help guide you through
    the setup.

Is anyone using the SDR with WIN-EQF logging software?
I downloaded N8VB vcom driver and it tells me I have ports
    6,7,8,9,16,17,18,19.
When I go into power SDR setup cat control it gives me the same ports as
    above.
So I setup everything in cat control per the Flex radio manual and setup
    WIN-EQF to match com6, baud 57,600,
parity none, data 8, stop 1. I get a error message "Problem opening port com
6 for rig 1". On Win-EQF's logging window it says Kenwood offline.
In WIN-EQF setup the rig selection says Kenwood not TS-2000 is there a
difference between the protocol of the TS-2000 and earlier Kenwood radios?

    Thanks
