My batting average with the DS3R seems better than Jim's. I put one together about a month ago with a Q6600 Quad CPU and 4 GB of 800 MHz DDR2; the DS3R also permits the alternate use of 2 DDR3 sticks, but I stuck with DDR2 which is really cheap now. So far, it has been rock solid. My only complaint is that this MB did not have built-in Firewire. I added a cheap PCI-e card to make it work with my 5000. The GB Ethernet and massive on-board SATA support definitely earns some gold stars for me.
I also tried both options in skedgran and I can't see any significant difference. But at least nothing barfed during the test! 73, Tom _______________________________________________ FlexRadio mailing list [email protected] http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archive Link: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ FlexRadio Knowledge Base: http://kb.flex-radio.com/ FlexRadio Homepage: http://www.flex-radio.com/
