Past a certain point in the tests it's doubtful that many would ever encounter a situation where the absolute best numbers in some categories would actually ever be noticed by the user.
I doubt that owners of the Icom R-9500 will toss them in the trash and replace them because of these numbers. I can't see the possibility of many 5000A owners "jumping ship" over it either. Good for comparisons but not the absolute ruling factor in receiver choice to me.
