And don't forget that once the new archictecture hits the
street the 96dB close spaced IMD DR will apply to all "N"
RXes (multi watch) across the sample bandpass of each HW RX,
not just two RXes in total.
Considering that the 5K doesn't have any narrow roofing
filters at all but is still within 5 dB of the K3 is really
quite admirable. And that it beats all the other "narrow"
roofing filter radios, some by as much as 30+ dB.
And the 17 dB wide spaced BDR performance edge that the K3
has most ops will never need.
No doubt times couldn't be better for ham radio. For all
practical matters the key decision choice now comes down to
whether you *have* to have a knob or not..
