1) When I click on the ATU button to tune prior to transmitting sometimes the results are that SWR is too high to transmit. However, if I click on the ATU button a second time there is a brief delay while the 10w signal is analyzed and the results come back as an swr of 1.0. Does someone understand what is happening here?
2) Does the ATU affect reception or is it only inline in the transmission circuitry? 3) What is best practice for using the antenna tuner? The manual in general tells how to do things but doesn't give examples as to best practice.
