Stan, No, they can't. PowerSDR is partially open source. Therefore they cannot charge for it.
Also, as Tim pointed out, the current radios (FLEX-1500, FLEX-3000, & FLEX-5000) fill positions in the marketplace. Therefore, there are no plans to discontinue them.
