Hi Clinton,
Yes, the InfoBox is a much simpler process. There is no translation from
latin to english involved. What they are are two defined templates, one for
spacecraft and one for film that have a set of values that should be
provided. This is implemented in FlexWiki using the template
The template would be a multiline property, pre-populated with a keyword set
to have values assigned. then css is applied on the output of the infobox
which is just a <div> and in this case moved to the right side of the text.
An empty sample in FlexWiki could look like this
:InfoBoxSpacecraft:[
Name = | Image= | | Caption = | Organisation = | Major_Contractors = |
Mission_Type = | Satellite_Of = | Launch = | Carrier_Rocket = | Decay = |
Mission_Duration = | NSSDC_ID = | Webpage = | Mass = | Power = |
Orbital_elements = | Inclination = | Orbital_Period = | Apoapsis = |
Periapsis = | Orbits = | Orbit_regime =
]
:InfoBoxSpacecraft:[
Name = Jules Verne (ATV-001) | Image= | | Caption = Artist's impression of
Jules Verne | Organisation = ESA |
Major_Contractors = EADS Astrium, CNES | Mission_Type = ISS
resupply | Satellite_Of = Earth | Launch = 04:03 [[Coordinated Universal
Time|UTC]], 9 March 2008 | Carrier_Rocket = Ariane 5ES
| Decay = | Mission_Duration = 6 Months | NSSDC_ID = 2008-008A | Webpage = [
http://www.esa.int/SPECIALS/ATV/index.html ESA - ATV] | Mass = ~20 tonnes |
Power = Solar panels | Orbital_elements = yes | Inclination = 51.6° |
Orbital_Period = 91.34 | Apoapsis = 339 km | Periapsis
= 331 km | Orbits = | Orbit_regime = LEO
]
Then there is a piece of WikiTalk that helps make sure the output of the
property information is presentable. In WikiPedia this will be written in
php rather than WikiTalk.
The difficulty is in defining what information you want to _force_ (coerce)
your users to supply about a topic and then creating the standard. Do you
have a sample about a generic topic in your wiki that you can share, then I
could do a practical example.
