Mainly because of the number of places we use things that look like links
and it just messes up the page to have tons of links that never get filled
in because we don't need to provide any more information. Part of the
problem is that lots of things that are just abbreviations look like links.
I end up suppressing lots of things and the back page is covered with stuff
that has double quotes around it. I almost did not go with FlexWiki because
of this but they really pushed me for something that would run Windows based
instead of requiring LAMP components. I've now gotten pretty familiar with
FlexWiki and do like using it and this is the one feature that's been
bugging me and the users don't like how much extra stuff they need to enter
on the page. Frankly most of them would have been happier if they could just
type in the raw HTML and be done with it - instead of learning another way
to encode the page - but that's something we have to work through.
