Jon, Perhaps we should rename something because you seem to bring this up every time someone mentions the pilots offset dialog. THIS IS THE CHASE VIEW PILOT's POSITION OFFSET AFAIK There is no where in the FGFS code that the actual pilot's offset position is manipulated (yet) and when and if this is introduced you will be included in the discussion relax ...
