Perhaps, but as laid out by Boeing a sensor here is something that collects
energy at a particular wavelength and sends that on to the host. It is
intended for FlightSims, but not really for the displays say between the
flight models and cockpit displays but more for the transmission of a data
created by sensor image models to the cockpit display. I'll peek at it some
more and check out that url.
