Hi All, I have updated our UIUC models and posted them here:

Many aircraft before did not have any gear parameters which made it nearly impossible to takeoff from the runway. - Removed the Twin Otter files with icing. The reason is that I just have not got to those yet. They are very nonlinear models and lots of work. - Several aircraft include stall nonlinearities. Look for the "nonlinear models". - New aircraft added Schweizer SGS 1-36 (nonlinear model) 1903 Wright Flyer (nonlinear model) The Wright Flyer is really neat! Aerodynamically I'd say this is a "95% model," which is to say it's pretty close to the real thing (I think). I used NASA Ames wind tunnel data taken on the Wright Flyer, but I had to augment that because the test did not include everything. The full list: - Beech 99 (last update 3/6/02) - Boeing 747 (last update 3/6/02) - Cessna 172 (four versions, last update 3/6/02) - Cessna 310 (last update 3/6/02) - Cessna 620 (last update 3/6/02) - Cessna T-37 (last update 3/6/02) - Convair 880 (last update 3/6/02) - F-104 Starfighter (last update 3/6/02) - F-4 Phantom (last update 3/6/02) - Learjet 24 (last update 3/6/02) - Marchetti S-211 (last update 3/6/02) - Pioneer UAV (last update 3/6/02) - Piper Cherokee (last update 3/6/02) - Schweizer SGS 1-36 (last update 3/6/02) - Twin Otter (last update 3/6/02) - 1903 Wright Flyer (last update 3/6/02) - X-15 (last update 3/6/02) The files are setup to run with FGFS 0.7.8. We are in the process of getting 0.7.9 to work here, at which time I can update them again. If anyone has any recommendations on the webpage layout and/or how I am handling the files, let me know. (I still need to add one tarball of all the models.) I'd be happy to see these updates get into the CVS. It probably makes the most sense to wait until we have the 0.7.9 versions working. I am *very* unclear on what it takes to run the UIUC models w/ 0.7.9. It seems that several things have changed. If anyone has them, I'd like to get publicly released 3D models for: - Wright Flyer (I have one, but we have not yet got permission to give it out) - SGS 1-36 - Pioneer UAV - Marchetti S-211 - Learjet 24 - Piper Cherokee I included a link to Wolfram's site for all of the other 3D models.
