I like this lots, I must have a play myself later.
The second thing I noticed (after just how cool the panel looks) is how obvious the
flat knobs are, particularly the magneto switch. I guess that a full 3D panel will fix
this, but I am not volunteering to do the work :-)

On a related note, does anyone know how I could convince CVS that the base package
tar.gz file contents are a suitable starting point for a cvs update of the base
package?
At work I have a fast internet connection, but cvs doesn't get through the firewall,
at home I am at the wrong end of a 33.6 modem, but cvs works. Consequently the base
package is taking for ever to checkout, I am doing it in 30 minute chunks to minimise
the apparent phone usage. As I have hit the Textures.high directory, I would like to
use the contents of the base tar.gz, presuming that most of the textures are identical.

Also, I noticed that the man page for cvs documents a -z switch for doing compressed
transfers, but this doesn't work when I try it, is this due to the cygwin version of
cvs, or the cvs servers themselves?
